Route Information.

The whole object of The DownundereXpress is to drive from London to New Zealand, Overland, experiencing as many different countries and countries as we can.The only way to get to SE Asia is via China as the authorities in Burma don't allow the entry of foreign vehicles. Neither do the Chinese to just anyone either. Special permission has to be obtained and you need to pay quite large sums of money to get your own vehicle through. Currently we are looking at a few different options of how to get to SE Asia, entering into Laos from China. There are many factors that will contribute to this including the time of year and whether certain mountain pass's will be open, as well as not wanting to hit the Rainy season, or snow!! Therefore we are still working on the exact route that we will take. But it will definitley encompass Europe through to Turkey and then onto Iran, an entry into China and exiting into Laos, and then onto Singapore, a ferry to Australia, and then a ferry to New Zealand. Stay tuned to the site for more info as we gather it.
